AKI KUDO - DANCER
was born in Japan and raised in New York. She began dancing at the age of 10 in various dance disciplines such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. She was accepted into the Steps Conservatory Scholarship program in NYC where she trained with renown national and international dance instructors. In 2012 she began Ballroom Dance as well as Argentine Tango where she found her true passion. Her awards are within the tango stage category and recently became Vice Champion of the 2015 USA Official Argentine Tango Championship with her personal and professional partner Alexey Gavrilov. Aki is also the founder of GAVRILOV DANCE, teaching social dancing to people with special needs.

ALEXEY GAVRILOV - DANCER
His dance career began at the age of 6 at one of the top dance schools in Russia. He represented his city and country at prestigious Russian and international competitions winning numerous awards. He received his Master’s degree with honors in Ballroom Dancing and Choreography at the Ural Governmental University of Physical Culture. Alexey’s passion for dance has lead him to new endeavors and founded GAVRILOV DANCE in 2015, a dance program dedicated to providing ballroom dance instruction to children with special needs. He currently teaches Ballroom dancing and Argentine Tango to people of all ages and abilities.

LUCIA JACKSON - DANCER
Lucia began her dance and music training in Madrid, Spain. She attended the Professional Dance Conservatory of Madrid, where she learned ballet and flamenco. At the age of 18 she returned to her birthplace New York, after being accepted into The Ailey School where she completed a Certificate in Dance and was also awarded a Scholarship Level 1 for one more year. Lucia has had the opportunity to perform Memoria at City Center and Revelations Cast of 50 at Lincoln Center with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. In 2015 she danced with Dardo Galletto Dance at the prestigious Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, inside/out stage. Lucia is also a member of FJK Dance, a unique mix of ballet and ballroom, Middle Eastern and jazz dance company.

DANNYS GONZALES - DANCER
Dannys a native of Cuba, trained and graduated from the prestigious Cuban National Ballet
School in Havana. There he took master classes with Mikhail Baryshnikov and Royal Danish Ballet
dancer and artistic director Frank Andersen. He began his professional career in the Cuban National
Ballet directed by Alicia Alonso. There he participated in the International Ballet Festival in Havana. In
2009 Gonzalez became a soloist in Ballet de Cuba company. His classical repertoire includes major roles in Swan Lake, Coppelia, Don Quixote, La Bayadére, La Sylphide, La Fille Mal Gardée, Paquita and The Nutcracker. Gonzalez has toured the world with the show “Ballet Revolucion“. After moving to New York City he continued developing his training at The Alvin Ailey School. He has performed with various ballet and contemporary companies around the US. Some of the venues include the acclaimed Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and Battery Park Dance Festival. Mr. Gonzalez is also a classical ballet teacher in the faculty at The School at Steps. Currently he is a guest dancer with several companies including FJK Dance Company.

MARIANA PARMA - DANCER
Received her BA in dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. She is widely known and admired for her masterful expertise in Argentine- Tango. Mariana’s approach in teaching and performing is to transmit the essence of each dance style through the musicality and movement. Her experience in the realm of Argentine Tango is vast and she has spun in stilettos, in NBC's hit series, "The Blacklist", as a Russian Tango dancer, national commercials, and within such theatrical venues as NYC Town Hall, Lincoln Center, and abroad. Beyond her own performing experiences, as an Instructor, She has also trained legendaries in the fundamentals of Argentine Tango, including Chita Rivera and Tommy Tune. She was on staff at the prestigious Dance Manhattan Ballroom school in NYC for more than 10 years, and continues to teach as a guest instructor at various dance studios, festivals in the US and abroad. Plus, As a Choreographer, she choreographed for commercials, well-revered composers and orchestras, including a recent China tour of the production “Glamour Tango”, an all female Tango Company. She is also the recipient of the HOLA award for outstanding achievement for choreography for the premiere production of “Tango Fever” and the 2008 USA Tango Champion.
EMILIO TEUBAL - MUSICIAN
Argentinean Pianist and Composer, has performances and recordings with the Pan American Symphonic Orchestra, The Astoria Tango Orchestra, Adam Tully Trio , Los Chantas, Martha Gomez Group, Grammy award winners Raul Jaurena and Fernando Otero, and Astor Piazzolla’s violinist Fernando Suarez Paz. Emilio’s latest album,”Música Para Un Dragon Dormido,” was chosen in 2013 for best album by several specialized media.
PEDRO GIRAUDO - MUSIC DIRRECTOR
Originally from Córdoba Argentina, Pedro Giraudo is a highly versatile bassist, composer, conductor and arranger. He leads his own award winning Big Band as well his Tango ensembles. Pedro Giraudo has collabo rated with Pablo Ziegler, Paquito D’Rivera, and Ruben Blades with whom he won 2 GRAMMYS. He has performed at The Blue Note, Birdland, London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, Jazz Festival Royale in Thailand, Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall (NYC).
JEREMIAS SERGIANI-VELAZQUEZ - MUSICIAN
Hailed as “accomplished in mechanism and style” (Buenos Aires Herald), Argentinean violinist Jeremías Sergiani-Velázquez was awarded First Prize at the Argentinean Hebrew Foundation Competition and has toured with the renowned Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Recently, he performed in a string quartet with violinist Midori touring Japan and Nepal.
RENATA ZHIGULINA - CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Actress and performance artistbased in Russia and U.S. After being introduced to the profession of acting at the age 10 , she’s been on a journey of intensive performance and art training in Russia, UK and US, having performed in various immersive site-specific productions (Diezci, Punch drunk (Sleep No Mo re) and Third Rail Projects). Since 2010 , she has been following a deep exploration of Argentine Tango , both in U.S. and Buenos Aires. In the creation of Blind, Renata collaborated as a rehearsal director, performance coach and creative consultant.
RODOLFO MARCELO ZANETTI - MUSICIAN
Bandoneon Born in Mendoza, Zanetti dedicated himself to playing tango. Under the auspices of the Astor Piazzolla Foundation, in 2003 was named the musical director of Piazzolla’s
“operita”, Maria de Bueno s Aires. Zanetti performed solo at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Lisner Auditorium of George Washington University, the Embassy of Argentina, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall and other venues.
